Nana's Peach Cobbler

1/2 to 1 cup butter (salted or unsalted) or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup self rising flour
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
cinnamon sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Put butter in a 9x13 inch baking pan and put in oven while the oven is heating up.  You want to melt the butter, but make sure not to burn it.
3. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, and milk until smooth with no lumps.
4. Once the butter is melted take the pan out of the oven and pour the batter on top of the butter.  DO NOT STIR IT!
5. Pour the peaches over the batter.  DO NOT STIR IT.
6. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the peaches. DO NOT STIR IT.
7. Bake for 30 to 60 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
