Frugal Fun Night

My friend Kimber and her husband invited us over for a dinner party last night.  It was us, Kim and her husby Bert, and her neighbors.  Kim and Bert prepared a delicious spread, jerk chicken, macaroni salad, beans, and smoked sausage, it was TDF.  Her neighbors brought the alcohol, we brought the dessert, Peanut Butter Sandwich Chippers.  After dinner we played Catchphrase which was hilarious (the girls won!).  It got me to thinking though, instead of going out to dinner with friends all of the time, why not have a dinner night at your house?  You could even do it potluck style so that not all of the financial burden of dinner is on the hosts.  Make dinner, have a few drinks, play some board games or even video games.  To me it was more fun that going out to eat, and the food was much more delicious.
