Rite Aid 3/29

I heard about an excellent greeting card deal at Rite Aid today so I just had to go check it out.  In their flyer this week is a coupon for $3/3 American Greeting cards.  Well, American Greeting has a $0.99 line of greeting cards.  So if you buy 3 of those and use the coupon for $3/3, you get them free!  You can't beat free!
Here is my transaction:

1 Stayfree 24ct super $2.49 (originally $3.99)
1 Stayfree 24 ct super $2.49
3 American Greeting cards $2.97

Total - $7.95 - $3 (card coupon) - $1/1 Stayfree coupon - $3.99 (BOGO Stayfree coupon) + tax = $0.34
Plus, I got $1.49 in UP Rewards (similar to ECBs) to use next time!
I'll be donating the Stayfree to the homeless shelter/food pantry and the cards i'll be using for a few upcoming birthdays.

Pretzel Dippers

This would be something fun and easy to put in your children's lunch boxes.

8 oz. block cheddar cheese (I like to use mild) or whatever cheese you like
16 skinny pretzel rods

1. Cut the block of cheese into 16 cubes.

2. Let the cheese sit at room temperature for a few minutes.  Insert one end of the pretzel rod into the cheese cube.

3. You can serve these with honey mustard on the side for dipping.

Menu 3/18 - 3/25

Friday: I had sausage gravy and biscuits and made chocolate chip cookies for my husby's lunches

Saturday: roast in the crock pot with garlic potatoes and veggie

Sunday: chicken noodle casserole with a veggie and devilled eggs to snack on at lunch time

Monday: spaghetti and garlic bread

Tuesday: leftovers

Wednesday: pancakes and bacon

Thursday: bbq chicken with macaroni and cheese and a veggie

Friday: out
